Dear Cambrians,
I want to provide you with an update on the restroom facility planned for the Cambria Skatepark project.
The engineered drawings and supporting structural calculations for the prefabricated restroom building have now been completed. Those materials have been submitted to San Luis Obispo County for review and confirmation that the calculations meet their requirements. As many of you know, projects like this require County approval before construction can move forward. We selected a pre-manufactured restroom building specifically because it is the most efficient and cost-effective way to permit a facility within a floodplain. However, the County requested confirmation of certain engineering calculations, and our contracted engineer has now provided that information.
We are currently awaiting the County’s concurrence. Once their approval is received, we will be able to proceed toward finalizing and moving the project into the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work through the regulatory process.
If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Matthew McElhenie
On behalf of all of us at Skate Cambria, we thank you for your continued support and are excited to get out to RFP. Stay tuned!
